I was totally amazed at the resemblance of the creature, which isn't really seen in full until near the end, to a Shoggoth! A Black Shoggoth, but defiantly a Shoggoth!!
This is about the best image found online. It has multiple mouths & eyes along with tentacles that reach out to grab and absorb it's victims.
